The Biggest Tours of the Summer

The start of summer means a break from school, fewer responsibilities, and warm weather. It’s the perfect time to spend some money and see your favorite artists sing live.

Here are Aura 32’s top summer tour recommendations that you should definitely consider attending.

Shawn Mendes – Shawn Mendes: the Tour

Shawn Mendes’ North American leg started on June 12th and ends on September 6th. This leg concludes with his first-ever stadium show in his hometown, Toronto. The full tour runs until December 21st, ending in Mexico City. Alessia Cara is the opener for all North American dates. These two artists are taking the radio by storm; you will feel like you are attending a mini-festival with two headliners. The addition of Mendes’ new song, “If I Can’t Have You,” the show is bound to be one of the biggest tours of the year.

Jonas Brothers – Happiness Begins Tour

With the Jonas Brothers’ comeback after a six-year breakup, this is probably the most anticipated tour of the year. Scratch that, the tour of the decade. After their successful comeback album, “Happiness Begins,” the band will be touring beginning in August. With their album reaching number one on the charts, fans have been extremely excited to see them perform live again. We know the brothers are going to have us dancing and crying while performing old and new songs. Who’s ready to hear ‘LoveBug’ live again? Bebe Rexha and Jordan McGraw will be joining the band of brothers.

Backstreet Boys – The DNA World Tour

Celebrating 25 years, The Backstreet Boys ended their Las Vegas residency with a number one album “DNA.” Now on the road to promote the album, the band will be traveling through Europe and North America this summer, with dates extending to November. Baylee Littrell, band member Brian Littrell’s son, is the opener for the tour. Even if you didn’t grow up with BSB, take your older cousin and discover the magic of 90’s boy bands.

Ariana Grande – Sweetener World Tour

The number one woman in pop is touring this summer, so you better get your tickets now. Ariana Grande is traveling around North America and Europe with the Sweetener tour ending in October. With two albums worth of new music (“Sweetener” and “thank u, next”), the tour is sure to be filled with plenty of tunes, old and new, to keep fans entertained. Social House and Normani are the supporting acts.

Jennifer Lopez – It’s My Party: The Live Celebration Tour

To celebrate her 50th birthday, Jennifer Lopez is currently touring for 36 shows. The shows kicked off on June 7th and end on August 11th with only 5 international dates. Lopez brought along 20 dancers with her including contestants from her dance show “World of Dance” (Briar Nolet, The Lab, and Swing Latino). Her daughter, Emme, joined her on stage for the opening show helping her sing her recent hit, “Limitless,” and melting the audience’s hearts in the process.

Queen and Adam Lambert – The Rhapsody Tour

After the success of the Oscar-nominated movie, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Queen announced their highly awaited tour. The North American leg sold out soon after tickets went on sale. The Rhapsody Tour kicks off on July 10th and continues until next year. Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert has been with the band since 2011 and performs lead vocals alongside Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor.
