Finding a skincare routine isn’t as simple as one-size fits all. I’ve spent too much money and time trying out new products, thinking they’re working for me and finding out that they weren’t ideal for my skin. Through trial and error, I have found these seven products that have been staples in my skincare routine.
AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT SKIN BRIGHTENING DAILY SCRUB
Every morning, I start my day off by cleansing my skin. This Aveeno cleanser is extremely gentle and always leaves my face feeling fresh and clean. I always use cold water when I am cleansing in the morning to wake up my skin.
CLEAN & CLEAR DUAL ACTION MOISTURIZER
I have been using this specific Clean & Clear moisturizer since I was in the sixth grade so it’s a true ride or die skincare product for me. It’s light, smooth, and specifically great for no makeup days!
EMBRYOLISSE 24-HOUR MIRACLE CREAM
This moisturizer is hydrating which makes it a must on days when I wear makeup. I’m not someone who uses primer so this is my substitute for one. My makeup application stays on all day thanks to this cream.
GARNIER SKINACTIVE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
The most important part of any skincare routine is taking off makeup every time you wear it. I am a firm believer in cleansing waters over makeup wipes because makeup wipes are not only bad for your skin but are horrible for the environment. With cleansing waters, you can use a reusable washcloth to remove your makeup.
CAUDALÍE PORE MINIMIZING TONER
Over the last year, toner has been a recent addition to my skincare routine. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to realize how crucial of a step it is! I apply toner every night after taking off my makeup. It allows me to get the excess makeup that my cleansing water missed also reducing the look of pores. This Caudalie toner smells amazing too!
ORIGINS GINZING EXFOLIATE
Exfoliating is essential because it gets rid of old skin cells and bacteria. This Origins exfoliator doubles as a cleanser but I personally just use it to exfoliate. One important thing to remember is to not over exfoliate. I recommend once every few days just to make sure your skin is fresh and rejuvenated.
MARIO BADESCU VITAMIN C SERUM
Last but certainly not least, Vitamin C Serum is a necessary step in my skincare routine. Vitamin C serum helps fight hyperpigmentation which is something that I struggle with. I’ve seen a noticeable difference in dark spots on my skin since using this product. Although I don’t deal with acne scarring, a lot of people I know that use this product do and say that it works wonders for them. I use this a few times a week before bed.
All of these products have been vital to my routine. Let us know which ones you’ve used or what products work best for you!
